The Accounting Manager is an integral part of the overall day-to-day financial and accounting oversight for the hotel. The position reports to the Director of Finance and works in concert with the hotel operational team and centralized accounting/finance to ensure a timely and accurate monthly close process. This job requires keen attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, a proactive mindset, and a strong work ethic.

 

Job Specifications:

• Outlet: The Hythe

• The budgeted range starts at $80,000 - $85,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

• Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly accounting close process working with stakeholders across the organization
• Month-end closing journal entries
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly Sales Tax Filings
• Manage two employees who support centralized billing and revenue audit
• Assist with producing monthly financial packages for 3rd party hotel owners
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organization
• Communicate with hotel operational team on a regular basis to gather information and provide insight on financial results and market trends  
• Liaison with 3rd party owners and Vail Resort’s shared service center relating to ad hoc requests and problem resolution
• Ability and willingness to gain working knowledge of hotel PMS systems to support billing and audit functions
• Other daily duties as assigned
