Basic Purpose: 

Assist in the management and supervision of tasks that allow Vesta to fulfill the distribution of its products and services. 

We are hiring for three different shifts:
- First shift: 5am-1:30pm
- Second shift: 8am-4:30pm
- Fourth shift: 9pm-5:30am

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

GENERAL

• Arrive to work area by the scheduled start time
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude
• Abide by company policies and procedures at all times
• Assist in the ongoing cleanliness/organization of the warehouse
• Maintains a safe work environment and keeps management informed of any safety hazards - 
• Assist others as needed
• Provide accurate time cards through the proper use of their ADP payroll app
• Communicates well with Management keeping them informed of time off requests
• Keeps management informed of challenges they experience within the workplace
• Other assignments and tasks as assigned by manager
• Follow all SOPs governing the tasks involved with successfully completing the duties assigned
• Should be prepared to assist with coverage of a Whse Mgr position when coverage is needed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Can perform all Whse Lev 1 and Lev 2 functions
• Create a culture of safety by administering and participating in weekly safety meetings with their team members

• Oversee team members loading/unloading trucks/containers consisting of boxes/packages of product/supplies

• Oversee team members to successfully complete projects throughout the warehouse to keep products stored in a clean, organized, safe manner
• Perform Quality Inspections on work performed by others
• Teach, Train and develop new hires 
• Participates in new hire orientation
• Prepare reports as required, and review measurements to suggest process improvements
• Assist management in identifying areas of opportunities and solutions to existing challenges
• Assist management in the implementation of new concepts and strategies
• Assist management in conducting reviews on employee performance within their teams
• Participate in Coaching and Counseling sessions with team members within their department
• Assists the manager in maintaining the accuracy of our inventory to ensure that the Virtual location and status of an item within the WMS matches the physical location and physical condition of the item.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of warehouse experience in a supervisory role, or five years of combined warehouse experience

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, database management, spreadsheet creation, email, and internet
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and leadership skills
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• The ability to oversee a team of 15-20 hourly employees
• Able to work both extended periods on the warehouse floor or sitting at a desk in an office setting
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

This is an in-person position located in Hayward, CA 94545.

Compensation for this position is $23-25/hr, depending on experience.
