Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Hosting Services – Database Crew focusing on managed database offerings comprised of: SRE, Automation and Operations Support for Databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Cache for Redis) in Azure. Our products are consumed by Business aligned Technology and App-Dev teams across business divisions, globally.

Your expertise

• Bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent focusing on Engineering, SRE for Databases MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Cache for Redis
• Ideally 5+ years of experience in large enterprise, preferably global financial / technology organization
• Expertise in MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Cache for Redis
• Performance and tuning skills including server configuration and tracing facilities
• Cloud experience specifically on Azure with hands-on in infrastructure maintenance using Terraform or Ansible
• Strong knowledge of Python and scripting for automation
• Proficiency on underlying infrastructure and operating systems like Windows, Unix RHEL 7/8
• SRE mindset to look at infrastructure issues with a software engineering perspective
• Managing incident management calls, problem management and blameless RCA
• Strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing
• Good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking
• Experience and exposure on database/infrastructure monitoring, observability, resiliency, backup, and disaster recovery
• Confident communicator that can explain technology to technical and non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps
