Arboriculture & Horticulture Educator- Monster Tree Service

Overview:  The objective of this role with Monster Tree Service is twofold.  First is to serve as the public facing subject matter expert, creating both written and video content aimed at homeowners interested in learning more about how to care for their trees and plants. As a subject matter expert, this person will contribute as a reliable expert on arboriculture and horticulture education and provide quotes and content to public facing media outlets. Second is to provide insights, scientific studies, and data analyses. Such insights and findings will be used to better support the Monster Tree Service franchise owners with new client services, research, and client questions and information requests. 

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the public facing subject matter expert, contributing as a reliable expert on Arboriculture education for homeowners in all types of media and educational campaigns, from written quotes and content to public facing videos and public relations interviews. Deliverables include a monthly calendar for social media posts, a monthly calendar of blog content, and ad hoc requests to serve as subject matter expert on tree and plant health care for the brand. 
• Provide internal education and support for franchise owners, including providing training on how best educate home owners, as well as contribute to our monthly newsletter.
• Support the operations team during new franchisee training.

Qualifications:

• Certified Arborist required
• Marketing or advertising experience highly desirable
• Candidate must be able to clearly communicate (written and verbal) with employees, franchise owners, prospective franchise owners, and vendors.
• Candidate must be familiar with social media content creation (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, X, etc), Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (email).

Time Commitment:

• This position would be part-time and on a contract basis.  Estimated time commitment would be approximately 10-20 hours per week.
