Job Description:
Global Deal Support Specialist will be primarily aligned to Global Opportunity Manager (GOM) role, supporting sales on hardware-led global deals to ensure successful pursuit and implementation, assessing Route-To-Market (RTM), non-standard terms, and other complications with global deals. More specifically, GOM is responsible for representing Geo in Global Enterprise Forum (GEF) review.
In addition, Global Deal Support Specialist will also be aligned to Global Deal Specialist (GDS) role, supporting sales on services-led global deals, facilitating Central Invoicing (CI) or Exception approvals and removing roadblocks in the end-to-end global process.
How you will make your mark:
Provide Sales consultancy and guidance for global deals
Work on governance in the initial steps of a global deal: e.g.: deal assessment: capabilities, country-specific regulations, route-to-market. Facilitate GEF review or CI approvals.
Coordinate global deal escalations by enabling cross functional/organization/regional resolution alignment
Engage with and develop strong working relationships with cross functional organizations.
More specifically for GOM role:
Represent opportunity in GEF review, assess HW-led deals together with the other GEOs GOMS and determine RTM based on thresholds guidelines and country requirements.
Support sales on administrative tasks regarding price coordination: deal management, quote creation and approval as required.
Orchestrate the quote creation in delivery countries involved on a global deal (identify and interact with local teams which create the quotes)
Support on deal implementation (support HQ sales and project team aligning with other sales, Presales, and services team in other countries to implement deal as demanded by customer)
Maintain an up-to-date local sales/account team contact matrix for all accounts
For GDS role:
Provide expertise and support for multinational and global deals including but not limited to CP/CI, Partner Led Exception, MAP, Invoicing, Approval processes
About you:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
3 years’ experience in multi-Geo or global team
HPE Hardware knowledge and understanding (portfolio, sales flow, etc.)
HPE Services knowledge – nice to have
Understanding of and experience in applying business and sales operations practices
Strong analytical, statistics and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills
Tools expertise: Salesforce.com (SFDC), Eclipse, All Comm
Business acumen and knowledge of Multinational and Global deals environment
Ability to collaborate and network with other groups and functions to reach business objectives, in support of the customer/partner requirements
Knowledge of global deal processes
Ability to follow a complex process and to interface with multiple functions and organizations
