Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Senior or Expert-level Electrical/Electronics Manufacturing Engineers to support our airplane programs located in Everett Washington. A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and a steadfast desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out in the factory, interacting with mechanics and electricians, and directly supporting the production system. They will also be expected to collaborate with teams located at our Global partner sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies.
• Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build.
• Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization.
• Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
• Resolves complex technical problems.
• Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained.
• Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities.
• Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods.
• Documents and communicates producibility best practices.
• Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.

Work Authorization:

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 5 or more years experience in the aerospace industry.
• 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience leading and coaching teams of engineers and technicians.
• 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typical Education/Experience:

• Senior Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
• Expert Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
