Systems Engineer

The Leidos program is in need of a Windows Systems Engineer that has experience in VMWare virtual hosting environments, MS Windows Server 2012-2019 administration, Windows PowerShell scripting, Active Directory, VDI and NetAPP storage solutions. Applicant should be able to design and develop complex solutions without assistance from peers. Daily duties include O&M of virtual environments, patching, updating anti-virus and resolving security vulnerabilities as part of the Vulnerability Mitigation Team (VMT). Should also be able to review peers' designs and ensure solution is sound. Must be able to work in a large team environment and collaborate when needed. This position will work with engineers on various technical projects. This could include but not limited to systems consolidation and integration, architecture designs and updates, site renovations and relocations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• O&M of large virtual hosting environment consisting of approximately 300 servers and thousands of workstations across 10+ systems. 

• Must also provide tier 2/3 support of Windows environment from a sys admin perspective

Basic Qualifications: 

• Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience OR a Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience preferred or 8+ years’ experience in lieu of degree.

• Clearance: Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI with poly

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in Windows System Administration and/or O&M experience

• Must understand virtual server technologies 

• VMWare vCenter expertise 

• NetAPP storage expertise

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
