This role provides behavior analytic services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is responsible for implementing and monitoring individualized behavior intervention plans, collecting data, training support staff, and supporting clients with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges, primarily those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).BCaBAs collaborates with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to promote skill development, reduce challenging behaviors, and enhance quality of life. This role requires a strong foundation in applied behavior analysis (ABA), excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ethical, evidence-based practices.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education
Required - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in any field from an accredited institution.
Work Experience
Preferred - 3+
License/Certifications.
Required - Current Board Certified Assistant Behavioral Analyst (BCaBA) license in state of practice
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry
Must have strong organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Must have high level of professionalism
Must have knowledge of principles of Applied Behavior Analysis applicable to care and treatment of children with behavioral and developmental concerns
Job Duties
Provide direct, therapeutic services to patients via parents skills training, direct on to one therapy, and/or group social skills training under the supervision of a licensed BCBA
Communicates and documents any changes in patient's status and informs supervising therapist of patient's reassessment
Maintain designated workspace (e.g. computer station, assign treatment rooms) by organizing, cleaning, and /or supplying appropriate materials
Assist in conducting assessments
Monitor progress of patient treatment plans
Supervise ABA Line Technicians
Implement at home guidance for parents and caregivers
Other related duties as required
