Job Responsibilities:


• Pre-employment / Pre-placement evaluations
• Vaccination review and administration
• Blood (venipuncture) and urine drug screen collection
• Respiratory fit testing
• Tuberculosis screening/testing
• Visual acuity and Ishihara test
• Hearing evaluation
• Vital signs
• Review and follow-up actions as needed, i.e., vaccine booster, referrals.
• Performs record keeping
• Enters appropriate charges in Cerner
• Worker’s Compensation Management
• Claim filing and case management
• Participates in evaluation, education, and follow up of injured/exposed healthcare workers
• Assists with referrals to specialists as needed
• Performs record keeping and reporting
• Tuberculosis Screening and Control Program
• Coordinates and performs appropriate screenings
• Follows up with positive results accordingly
• Performs record keeping, reporting and tracks compliance rates
• Annual Respiratory Protection Program
• Coordinates and performs annual N95 fit testing for all healthcare workers with direct patient care
• Performs record keeping, reporting and tracks compliance rates
• COVID/Infectious Disease
• Provides guidance and education for quarantine, isolation, and return to work guidelines
• Performs contact tracing and keeps records
• Performs COVID Antigen testing and provides correspondence with testing individuals
• Assists with obtaining and tracking COVID vaccination documentation and exceptions
• Coordinates Hazardous Drug Program
• Coordinates Hearing Conservation Program
• Coordinates Annual Influenza Vaccine Campaign.
• Coordinates and performs yearly influenza vaccines for healthcare workers, volunteers, residents and students.
• Assists with obtaining and tracking influenza vaccination documentation and exceptions.
• Performs record keeping and tracking for compliance rates.
• Helps establish and implement goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for the assigned areas.
• Serves as a liaison between department/organization, satellite clinics, and outside organizations.
• Prepares and forwards expense requests, ensuring prudent and reasonable spending within the assigned areas.
• Coordinates and provides feedback to the department manager, coordinator, administrator, chair, and/or staff for deficiencies.
• Onboarding and immunization reviews for healthcare workers, volunteers, residents and students.
• Evaluates Employee Health processes on an on-going basis and makes recommendations as needed.
• Ensures office supply inventory is current, mail is opened and processed, office is opened and closed according to procedures.
• Ensures patients are treated courteously by personnel and directed properly.
• Ensures regulatory compliance. Keeps informed on updates for legal, professional, medical, OSHA, CDC, and other regulatory entities.
• Serves on various committees as needed.
• Ensures clinical findings and reports are communicated to the proper provider, agency and/or department.
• Performs for-cause drug and alcohol screenings.
• Provides clinical support for physician/provider.
• Conducts educational and training sessions.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.


Education: Graduate from a school of nursing as a Registered Nurse. CPR certification required.
Experience: Three years’ experience as a registered nurse. Supervisory experience preferred and experience in program development in healthcare administration or medical/surgical nursing or related clinical experience.
