Job Overview
Perform duties associated with meeting department goals and objectives with minimal supervision.
Highlights of your role
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Cross-Trained to work in multiple work stations, including the most complex and specialized jobs in the department, and maintain standards of safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
- Identify bottlenecks and move, on a self-directed basis, from one work center to another to eliminate bottleneck areas and maintain smooth operational flow.
- Serve as a resource within the department for quality and technical product related concerns.
- Responsible for training department employees.
- Encourage and motivate employees to meet metrics and goals; assist in resolving issues as they occur
- May assist and will serve as a back-up to department leadership when required. Will facilitate work cell group meetings in lead’s absence and assist in keeping SQDP documentation updated.
- Use of essential tools including electric, manual, and air tools
- Use of essential measuring equipment
- Effectively working with others
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Dependable attendance
- Additional duties as assigned
Physical Demand:
- Standing and/or walking for 8 – 10 hours a day
- Performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions
- Working at an established production rate pace entailing pushing and/or pulling of materials up to 50 pounds
- Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently, team lifting may be required for heavier lifting
- Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and turning
- Climbing stairs and/or ladders and working in elevated areas
