Job Description Summary
(2 positions open) The Director of Market Access Strategy positions is responsible for partnering with the brand team to develop and execute a comprehensive market access strategy for Sandoz’s launch and inline assets. Market access strategy should be developed in consideration of all relevant stakeholder implications and investments (patients, payers, HCPs, distribution and other relevant intermediaries) including list price, net price, patient affordability, lifecycle, competition, channel reimbursement, payer evolution and government pricing. The successful candidate will need to be able to lead without direct authority, engaging a broad functional matrix to ensure that brand strategies are developed in consideration of all material risks and opportunities. The Director of Market Access Strategy, acting on behalf of the brand, will work in close partnership with the contracting and account management teams to ensure execution of the day-to-day brand strategies and to evolve those strategies in anticipation of changing market dynamics.The Director of Market Access Strategy will be responsible for proactively sharing learnings across the team to ensure that each of the team members and their respective brands are staying abreast of the rapidly evolving biosimilar market dynamics.
This specific Director of Market Access Strategy role will cover portfolio opportunities in addition to brand specific responsibilities. As we work to transform the Sandoz Market Access capability, we will need to revise our approaches across the continuum of market access activities, identifying and championing opportunities to be more efficient, data driven and insight based. This role will be critical to enabling Market Access to pivot from a reactive to a proactive approach to brand strategy development and customer execution.

Key Responsibilities will Include, but not limited to:
Responsible for leading cross-functional collaboration in the design of near-term launches and working with global colleagues for mid-long term launches.
Responsible for continuing Life Cycle Management monitoring and strategy adjustment activities for products throughout the life cycle.
Champion above brand initiatives to advance the capabilities, efficiency and effectiveness of the Market Access function across the full spectrum of activities
Create and continuously update value proposition (including messaging, pricing, contracting) and segmentation for Payers/Specialty Pharmacy stakeholders to maximize reimbursement and formulary access
Partner with patient services team to ensure that programs are designed and continuously optimized balancing the needs of our external stakeholders with the needs of the organization
Integrate personal knowledge of access dynamics, data, market insights, and field/account feedback to deliver on overarching Brand Plan via access levers, including payers/PBMs, wholesale/distribution, GPOs, Providers, Specialty Pharmacies, etc.
Able to successfully pivot with rapidly evolving market dynamics, between products, and between stakeholders without losing sight of strategic pillars
Key cross-functional partners include Marketing, Account Strategy, Account Management, HEOR, Distribution, Patient Services, Pricing, Insights & Analytics, Government Pricing, Medical, Finance, Global marketing/medical, Government Affairs.
Travel may be as high as 25%, with a requirement for regular field visits with account managers in target accounts and attendance at appropriate meetings/congresses.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Education (minimum requirements):
Bachelor’s degree
Required Experience/Qualifications:
8 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
3 years US market access experience
Preferred:
10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience
Biologic & market access experience / complex dynamics /
