Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
The senior business systems analyst plays a critical role in advancing Starbucks’ global accounting transformation. Partnering closely with the Accounting and Finance Systems teams, this role drives meaningful automation initiatives and serves as a hands on technical contributor within the Accounting Center of Excellence (COE).
This is an opportunity for a seasoned analyst who enjoys designing, building, and enabling automation—while collaborating directly with accounting teams to standardize processes, reduce manual effort, and increase efficiency.
As a senior business systems analyst, COE you will…
• Partner with Accounting and Finance Systems teams to identify, design, and deliver automation solutions that simplify and modernize accounting processes
• Play a key technical role on the Accounting COE team, supporting global accounting initiatives and transformation efforts
• Drive process standardization and automation across accounting deliverables, establish new workflows, improving consistency, accuracy, and efficiency
• Use tools such as BlackLine and Alteryx to automate journal entries, reconciliations, controls, reporting, and other accounting activities
• Translate accounting and business requirements into clear functional designs and technical solutions
• Support end to end delivery—from analysis and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization
• Act as a trusted partner to accounting teams by providing insight into best practices, system capabilities, and automation opportunities

We’d love to hear from people with:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Information Systems (required)
• Experience supporting business system(s) (5 years)
• Functional experience in accounting (5 years)
• Hands on experience with BlackLine module(s) and building workflows in Altyrex (required)
• Background in ERP implementation and/or upgrades (preferred)
• Demonstrated initiative in process improvement
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to effectively engage cross functionally at various levels of the organization
• Experience in cross functional project management
• Understanding of US GAAP and SOX frameworks.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting
