Overview:

Completes multiple task-oriented operational duties of varying difficulty to update account and account-related data on Bank systems with variable urgency based on the request and daily volumes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Process routine and standard transactions according to established procedures.
• Communicate with internal business partners and related service partners as required.
• Escalate non-standard or high risk exceptions to more experienced personnel as appropriate.
• Prioritize and manage own workload to meet service level agreements and internal service delivery standards.
• Identify and report all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities to management.
• Understand and apply rules to evaluate appropriateness of request prior to processing account maintenance requests.
• Process account maintenance transactions in multiple systems.
• Participate in dual verification process for entries made by other team members.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

This position is within the Client Onboarding and Support Team (COAST).

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

None

Education and Experience Required:

Combined minimum of 4 years’ higher education and/or work experience

Comfortable operating in a team environment

Experience using word processing and spreadsheet software

Willing to work a flexible schedule as needed

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 1 years’ experience in financial services industry

Basic understanding of financial products

Knowledge of pertinent Bank systems

Ability to work under time constraints

Previous experience completing account maintenance or similar activities

Physical Requirements:

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $23.04 - $38.40 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
