Fall 2024 - Innovation, Engineering & Flight Intern in GAC Savannah

We are looking for students who are available for Fall 2024 for this internship opportunity. You must be able to work full time in-person for at least 14 weeks for Fall 2024.
- August/September 2024 - December 2024
- Position will be posted until 3/31/2024. Interviews will be from April 2024 - June 2024.
Engineering intern students at Gulfstream Aerospace in Innovation, Engineering and Flight are considered to be an integral part of the Engineering staff, and as such, are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.
We are looking for all levels of educational experience, from undergrad, masters and PhD candidates who are seeking professional expreience in an engineering environment.
This is a paid internship in Innovation, Engineering & Flight where we have amazing opportunities in engineering in areas such as flight sciences, stress, structures, lab test, systems, flight test, service, avionics, compliance, and so many more. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides technical assistance to engineering staff and contributes by completing discrete engineering tasks on schedule.
- Using company procedures, applies engineering knowledge to resolve aircraft related issues.
- Miscellaneous technical test data generation and analysis.
- Support of component and full-scale aircraft prototype and test activities during the lifecycle of Gulfstream products.
- Interface with various internal organizations such as Production Engineering, Completions Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Product Support and Procurement as well as external suppliers.
- Continues learning and developing knowledge of application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise.
- Perfom other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following disciplines:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Materials Engineering (Material Science)
- Computer Engineering
- Human Factors��
- Systems Engineering
- Industrial Engineering (Manufacturing)
- Industrial & Systems Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- To be considered as an intern, Fall 2024 Applicants must plan to graduate from their current academic program any time on or after December 2024 or have plan to continue their education in the Spring (ie. bachelors to masters). Summer 2024 graduates will not be considered and should apply to full-time positions.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative gpa at the time of application is required and must be listed on the submitted resume. GPA must remain above a 3.0 through the Summer semester for Fall 2024 internship. Transcripts will be checked and we do not average transfer credits from one institution to another.
- If you are a freshman, please list your high school gpa.
- Resumes without a gpa will not be considered.
- Ability to convey technical concepts in both written and verbal formats
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Display maturity and a high level of professionalism
- Proven leadership skills on-campus or in a previous work atmosphere
- Previous internship experience a plus
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work for the duration of the internship
- Must be available to work 40 hours a week at least 14 weeks in-person during the months of August/September 2024 - December 2024.
