What We Want
The Program Manager in Student Assistance Services is instrumental in fostering student success through non-clinical case management services. In addition to helping students navigate challenges by advising them about University resources and processes, you will supervise several full-time case managers, oversee basic needs support programs, and serve as secondary leadership for the unit. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent professional judgement, collaboration, and problem solving skills.

Salary Range: $65,000 - 71,500/annually.

Responsibilities
Program Management and Administration
Meets, refers, and follows-up with students regarding general questions, concerns, and/or needs. Examples include, but are not limited to concerning behavior, relationship issues, student rules/grievances, absences, and transition issues. Consults with faculty, staff, students, and parents on topics including, but not limited to concerning behavior, university/community resources, student rules and absences. Provides vision and oversight for Student Assistance Services in order to provide support and resources to the students and families accessing the services of the unit. Provides managerial and leadership for case management, and other unit initiatives. Coordinates and evaluates new and existing programs including Former Foster initiatives and the Pocket Pantry program. Manages program databases and files. Liaises with marketing team for all SAS marketing efforts. Supports Assistant Director with creating, managing, and analyzing SAS assessments.
Supervision
Supervises assigned staff, including Student Development Specialist (Case Managers).
Budget
Provides managerial and budgetary support to SAS staff so they can plan, develop, implement, and manage programs and activities to support students.
Stakeholders and Liaising
Maintain positive working relationships with office and department stakeholders.
University/Division/Department Duties
Serves as a representative on Department, Division, and University committees and task forces, at events, and to department stakeholders as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- 5 years experience working in a higher education setting.
- Experience with case management in a higher education setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work with others.
Understanding and knowledge of college student development.
Ability to plan and implement programs.
