Carrier is seeking a Part‑Time Charlotte Factory Tour Guide to serve as the primary host and brand ambassador for customers visiting our Charlotte manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring visitors have a professional, welcoming, and engaging experience, while safely guiding them through the plant and representing Carrier’s culture, values, and capabilities.

This position is customer‑facing only and does not include manufacturing, engineering, or sales responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, partners, and visitors during on‑site factory tours
  • Welcome visitors, manage check‑in, and ensure all safety and security requirements are met prior to tours
  • Lead structured walking tours through designated areas of the Charlotte factory
  • Present high‑level information about Carrier, the Charlotte facility, and general manufacturing processes (non‑technical)
  • Coordinate with internal teams to confirm tour schedules, visitor counts, and special requirements
  • Ensure all visitors follow site safety rules and PPE requirements
  • Act as a professional representative of the Carrier brand, maintaining a positive, knowledgeable, and customer‑focused presence
  • Provide general support during customer visits, including escorting guests on and off site as needed

Work Schedule

  • Part‑time, flexible schedule
  • Hours will vary based on customer visit demand
  • Typical shifts may include weekday mornings or afternoons to align with customer tours

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree.
  • 1+ year experience in HVAC industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, manufacturing, engineering.
  • Proven experience in scheduling, coordination, and logistics.
  • Experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
