MISSION
Write, adapt or review the machinery specifications for production of hydrogen High Pressure Vessels and High Pressure System testing means.
Support local supplier development for required equipment. Support the supplier panel increasing (mainly for new local suppliers). Lead equipment procurement from concept development to delivery/setup/debug/launch in PONE production site. Follow startup of production in PONE production site and support continuous process improvement. Follow up from study to implementation in the plant. Start up and continuous improvement. Responsible for KPIs related to equipment procurement, ensuring machines meet internal and external customer timing, budget and quality expectations.
Contribute to the process & machinery standard enhancement, feedback, expertise growing and (re) define key process parameter. Provide feedback, expertise and lessons learned on equipment launched in the region to improve division standards.
Responsible of the QCT local roadmap definition and sharing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Definition:
- Support Industrial Engineer in the definition of the:
- industrial needs (type of equipment needed, quantity of equipment, cost of equipment and lead time, manpower requirements)
- supporting concept (development of multiple concepts and presenting best fit concept for new projects)
- predevelopment (supporting quotation activity with respect to machinery and ensure design for manufacturing)
- and PFMEA analysis (participation in the creation of PFMEA, evaluating risks and determining process control/error proofing as needed)
- Support discussion with the product experts to understand the need
- Translate the need into machine specification
- Work in cross-functional team to develop process/machinery concept that meets need of internal/external customer
- Ensure those requirements are captured in the machinery specification.
Process & Machinery Development:
- Write machine specification
- Participate to technical discussion to choose the best offer
- Lead technical review with supplier to make recommendation to purchasing for best fit from technical standpoint
- Follow up with machine supplier during machine development:
- Study (machine design)
- Machine construction
- Machine installation on site, final commissioning & start up
- Support plant during set up and production life (continuous improvement)
- Create guidelines and machinery standards (regional feedback into division standards for equipment based on lessons learned and expertise)
Improvement:
- Pro-active into business improvement and new technical data (actively review data from plant production to support continuous improvement that leads to OPEX savings…scrap/cycle time/downtime reductions for example)
- Maintain close communication with the Capex Buyers to develop the suppliers panel (work closely with CAPEX buyer to identify potential equipment suppliers in North America, support the evaluation of supplier capability and ensure the proper supply based is established locally for machinery)
- Capitalization & lessons learned as active member of the Process & Machinery Synergy (member of synergy team with EU and AI colleagues to share lessons learned which will be critical as the business continues to evolve)
PROFILE REQUIRED
Personal Background
- Technical bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of process development and machine design experience required
