Structured Investments Attorney - Assistant Vice President / Vice President

<h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3> <p>iCapital is looking to hire a Structured Investments and Annuities Coverage Attorney<strong> </strong>to join the Legal team.&nbsp; The ideal candidate is an attorney with experience with financial products, including structured investments, as well as in-depth knowledge of the laws, rules, and regulations applicable to such products.&nbsp; This role will work closely with the structured investment and annuities business lines, and other attorneys within our Legal and Compliance teams.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Negotiate complex agreements with counterparties, including structured investment and annuity product issuers, as well as financial institution users of iCapital’s web-based structured investments and annuities platform.</li> <li>Assess and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risk with respect to product offerings and financial technology services.</li> <li>Work closely and collaborate with, and provide advice to, the Structured Investments and Annuities business teams on strategic initiatives and day-to-day matters.</li> <li>Analyze cross-border legal and regulatory requirements and provide advice to the business teams on such requirements.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>4+ years of experience within financial services</li> <li>Strong knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and FINRA rules</li> <li>Member in good standing of New York Bar or another state or jurisdiction</li> <li>Law firm or in-house experience at a broker-dealer, including supporting a structured product desk, is a plus</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills</li> <li>Willingness to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment</li> <li>Organized and detail-oriented with big picture capabilities</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Benefits</strong></h3> <p>The base salary range for this role is $180,000 to $220,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
