Job Description

THE ROLE:  Senior Analyst, Corporate Development & Strategy
The Senior Analyst, Corporate Development & Strategy is responsible for assisting in the development of both short-and long-term strategic initiatives to advance A+E Global Media.  The position offers unique exposure to a wide variety of businesses within the media and entertainment industry. This function includes researching industry trends, evaluating expansion opportunities and competitive threats, and developing recommendations for strategic responses both in the U.S. and abroad.  As part of this work, the Senior Analyst will construct quantitative models, develop business plans and create presentations for presentation to senior management and/or the Company’s Board. 

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

• Analyze industry conditions across traditional linear television, OTT streaming and other emerging media, assess the impact to A+E Global Media, and support projects to implement responses.  

• Create compelling, persuasive, clear and concise materials to communicate key learnings and recommendations that will advise senior management. 

• Build cross-functional relationships (internally and externally) to maintain a perspective on industry projections/benchmarks and share best practices.

• Provide business intelligence support as needed to operating units.  

• Build financial models and conduct due diligence on specific investment opportunities.

• In collaboration with the rest of CDS, develop investment theses based on economic, technological or behavioral shifts in the media landscape.  

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS in Finance, Computer Science, Data Science or similar is preferred.  Corresponding industry and/or internship experience will be considered.

• 1 – 3 years of post-undergraduate work experience required.  Relevant experience within Finance, Consulting, Data Science firms is highly desirable.

• Requires advanced level skills with MS Excel, comfort working with large amounts of data and expertise with Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint).

• Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python) is highly desirable.

• Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles along with data analysis.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Excellent problem-solving skills including prioritization, critical thinking and hypothesis development.

• Ability to develop cogent arguments and present them concisely to a range of stakeholders, including senior executives.

Compensation

Annual Pay Range: $89,565 - $103,000

Annual Incentive Target: 10.00%

 

The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the

minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will

be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills,
