Lawn Maintenance Associate

Job Summary

Responsible for the maintenance and care of Company grounds.  Utilizes electric and gasoline-powered equipment, machines, and small hand and power tools equipment to plant, cultivate, and trim grounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures all Company facilities are clean and inviting at all times according to Company appeal standards.
• Maintains Company grounds by seeding, watering, mulching, fertilizing, and applying chemicals to outside plantings.
• Performs regular maintenance by using various hand, electric, and gas-powered tools to mow and maintain grass, rake leaves, trim bushes and trees, plant flowers and shrubbery, water and fertilize vegetation, and prepare for seasonal changes.
• Maintains driveways, walkways, and parking lots by removing snow and ice when applicable.
• Ensures grounds-keeping tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored. Performs minor repairs and maintenance procedures. Assists with the repair of sprinkler systems as needed.
• Inspects common areas, exterior of the properties and grounds, and parking lots; reports deficiencies to upper management.

• Ability to operate large riding mowing equipment.

• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• May be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver Policy.
• Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
• Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED and two or more years of experience preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.

• Attendance at work is required.
