Controller/Finance Manager

Description

The Controller/Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage day-to-day accounting functions while also contributing to long-term financial planning and analysis. 

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. 
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process and prepare forecasts to guide the company’s financial strategy.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and investments.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements, specifically relating to government contracting requirements (FAR, CAS) a plus.
• Audit Management: Coordinate the preparation of the financial audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and financial management
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial reporting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications 

•  Familiarity with federal regulations governing government contracts and accounting practices.
