WAREHOUSE (cold) JANITOR (Night Shift Position)

The Job Details:

*Note--This position is primarily in the warehouse with temperatures ranging from 28° to -20°

• Empty all trash cans and return to their appropriate locations.
• Keep freezers and docks clear of open, damaged product on the floor.
• Keep aisles and docks free of broken pallets, wood pieces and other debris.
• Clean and dust all dock doors, lights, hitch box, curbs.
• Appropriately report and mitigate any liquid spills.
• Check storage racking for damage and report when necessary.
• Sweep all warehouse flooring, including underneath storage racks.
• Sweep and clean any areas that cannot be reached with scrubber or power sweeper.  
• Clean, dust and maintain pallet inverter, pallet wrappers and other warehouse equipment.
• Report any damaged traps.
• And other duties as assigned

 

What We Are Looking For:

Education

•      High School Degree preferred

Experience

•      Previous janitorial experience preferred but not required.

•      Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

•      Lift up to 70lbs with assistance on an occasional basis

•      Stand and walk for extended periods of time

•      Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls

•      Be able to speak and hear for safety and productivity

•      Ability to lift overhead

•      Ability to work overtime is an essential part of this position due to demand

•      Have acceptable and / or correctable vision 

•      Work in an atmosphere range of + 50 to - 30 degrees F with a moderate noise level

•      Personal interaction and communication required to and from other people is extremely high

•      Good arithmetic and reading skills

•      Understand and follow verbal instruction, written instruction and company policies 

•      A self-starter that can work independently and coordinate with others

•      Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage stress and productivity guidelines

•      Identify and record any issues relating to product, processes and/or quality.

•      Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through appropriate channels.

•      Verify the implementation of solutions.

•      Follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.

•      Participate in Safety and Educational Training.
