About the role

We are looking for an experienced CDL Class A driver with two or more years’ experience of pulling tank trailers containing, but not limited to, fuel, crude oil, chemicals, and bulk water. The drivers will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and the client’s sites. Drivers will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including vacuum trailers, tankers, vans, and flat beds.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial vehicles to safely transport goods/materials over long distances according to established safety procedures and DOT regulations while meeting scheduled appointments
• Drive trucks and operate specialized pump equipment on vehicles to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
• Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
• Drive commercial vehicles to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
• Ensure placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
• Maintain paperwork including expense reports, time-sheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift:

• Typically Monday through Friday and rotating weekends

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
• Previous commercial driving experience.
• CDL Class A with Tanker endorsements and 2 or more year of experience.
• Roll off box experience preferred.
• HAZMAT endorsement required
• TWIC card required.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs.
• Abide by standard DOT regulations at all times.

Physical Demands:

• Be able to push, pull manipulate 50 lbs.
• Be able to sit, stand, walk for long periods
• Be able to work in any climate environment
