About the role
- This is a CCO summer internship in partnership with the University of Richmond.
- This internship will comprise of 30 hours per week.
- This internship starts May 25th and ends August 1st.
- This internship will pay $4000
- There is an opportunity to be hired for a 10/week in-semester internship (Campus Ministry Student Internship),
Purpose of the position:
- To provide an opportunity of sharing the Gospel and inviting students into the life of the local church. Develop deep relationships with students that promote strong biblical discipleship, life long commitment to the Church, and the fl ourishing of Christ’s kingdom in their local context and all areas of life.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: must be a current CCO student at the University of Richmond
- Experience: active participation in current CCO ministry on campus
Job Description:
Campus/Parish Ministry Responsibilities
- Help organize, lead, and execute CCO Summer Fellowship. This includes planning meals for summer gatherings, collaborating w/ CCO Staff for strategic planning, and inviting students living in Richmond for the summer.
- Lead an inductive study of scripture among college students who are in Richmond for the summer, including Biblical text, meeting times, and fl ow of the weekly event.
- Foster belonging within the CCO Richmond community through the creation of 3-4 additional events designed to help students grow in friendship. Intern is also responsible for organizing a regular meal after Church on Sundays.
Organizational Responsibilities
- Diligently perform fundraising behaviors in support of meeting 100% of campus goals and initiatives.
- There is an opportunity to be hired for a 10/week in-semester internship (CMSI), which requires the Intern to fundraise. Training throughout the summer will be provided.
- Assist in administrative duties as assigned.
- Attend CCO’s Staff Summer Conference.
- Grow in the CCO’s campus ministry strategy of Engage, Evangelize, Establish, Equip, and Embody.
