About the role

In this position... 

The Wholesale Channel Parts Sales Manager will be responsible developing and implementing Strategic and Tactical plans for the Mechanical space. While coordinating efforts across channels - Collision, Mechanical, Retail, Ford Pro, Field Operations to find synergies and efficiencies to help grow the Total Wholesale business across traditional and eCommerce purchase platforms.  Being able to work closely with teammates is a crucial element to this position as it while have regular interactions with everyone in the goal to grow part sales in the Retail and Wholesale Channels.

What you'll do...

Wholesale Dealer Engagement

  • Develop a Go to Market Plan to support and engage the Field/Dealers in strategic activities and investments
  • Provide coordination of support activities that promote parts sales, including:
    • Sales blitzes
    • Product training 
    • Motorcraft University training
    • CPWD program criteria
    • CPWD dealer meetings/broadcasts
    • CPWD ZM Training and acumen building inquiries 
    • NRHH and NASCAR activations 
  • Develop the Parts business acumen to become a subject matter expert, synthesizing market intelligence, and understanding Ford’s competitive advantages and value proposition to support sales growth and Field training.
  • Keep FCSD leadership informed of Field sales activities and performance

Wholesale – Mechanical  Parts Sales 

  • Strategic planning across the Mechanical space driving 
  • Coordinate Dealer Channel Wholesales parts sales programs that promote growth and drive Dealer engagement
  • Manage Mechanical Field sales force (purchased service personnel via OEC) and provide guiding light on focus and efforts
  • Partner with OEC and eCommerce team to grow and engage eCommerce business via RepairLink
  • Conduct monthly Wholesale Channel meetings with Field and General Office support staff to review and coordinate workload planning, business priorities, etc.
  • Act as tactical and strategic lead for Mechanical Wholesales including but not to:
    • Contests and Incentives
  • Wholesale Programs (new and existing)
    • FCSD annual objective setting
    • Business Plan Support (Market Area and Dealer Level)
    • Parts Marketing & Paid Search
    • eCommerce (Fordparts.com) business lead
  • Take lead role in coordinating sales and marketing efforts of Ford Powertrain Distributors to grow aftermarket penetration through Dealer Channel Wholesale activities and by supporting Powertrain-dedicated purchased service personnel and Powertrain-specific programs (e.g. Powertrain Legends)
    • Powertrain Distributor Co-Op Funds
    • Act as Powertrain Distributor rep for problem escalation and concern remediation

Retail

  • Coordinate with Retail Sales Manager and Dealer Parts Operations Manager on strategic and tactical efforts to grow the Retail Parts channel
    • Retail Inventory Management support and integration with field
    • Dealer as a Depot support and integration with field
  • Coordinate cross-functional marketing initiatives.

  • FCSD experience required
  • Field experience required
  • Strong Dealer Fixed Operations acumen 
  • Ability to mine and leverage data to drive insight and business decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Ability to think both tactically and strategically
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate internally and externally
