<p>If you're passionate about working with children and families, becoming a Case Aide at a DCS Welcome Center can be a life-changing experience. After four years of successful service, you'll also be eligible for promotion to the DCS Specialist Trainee position ($21.70 per hour).</p>
<p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p>
<p>As an Assistant Case Manager/Case Aide at the Welcome Center, you'll:</p>
<ul type="disc">
<li>Transport clients and children and ensure proper use of child safety seats</li>
<li>Transport children to designated placements as needed</li>
<li>Assist clients with application processes</li>
<li>Provide case assistance to participants involved in child safety services</li>
<li>Engage, observe, and interact with children (examples: lice treatments, changing diapers, potty training, bathing, comforting)</li>
<li>Provide trauma-informed care to children</li>
<li>Perform housekeeping functions (examples: laundry, cleaning dishes, preparing meals, general cleaning)</li>
<li>Assist Kinship Caregivers with TANF referrals, Fingerprint Clearance Card appointments, email account setup, and billing submission processes</li>
<li>Process service approvals for living arrangements and support services, including Kinship Home Studies and Courtesy Supervision requests</li>
<li>Respond to service approval inquiries and verify the accuracy of service request documentation</li>
<li>Provide clerical and administrative support and maintain accurate records</li>
<li>Refer clients and families to community resources and organizations that promote self-sufficiency</li>
<li>Document client interactions, activities, and service-related information</li>
<li>Participate in professional and unit meetings and deliver goods as requested</li>
<li>Travel in-state and out-of-state as required</li>
</ul>
<p>You may also be required to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.</p>
<p><strong>We're Looking For Someone Who Can:</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
<li>Understand child development needs, behavioral needs, and cultural influences on families and communities</li>
<li>Become familiar with community resources and services that support children and families</li>
<li>Use strong communication skills, including active listening, de-escalation techniques, and clear verbal and written communication</li>
<li>Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, digital calendars, video conferencing platforms, and mobile technology to document and coordinate work</li>
<li>Manage multiple administrative and service-related tasks while maintaining attention to detail</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What We Need From You (Required Qualifications)</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
<li>High School Diploma or GED</li>
<li>Valid driver's license and a satisfactory 39-month driving record</li>
<li>Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Department of Public Safety (DPS) Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card</li>
<li>Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification</li>
<li>Work history, Central Registry, and Public Record review will be considered</li>
<li>Ability to use a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business</li>
<li>May be required to use personal transportat
