This position is for Factory Inventory and Control located in Goleta, CA. This position is for a seasoned professional in Manufacturing Operations Inventory control, who works independently, monitors manufacturing operations by analyzing factory performance and productivity. Coordinates scheduling activities and sequencing of material to support factory consumables to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.

While managing the Factory Consumables labs, will be responsible for re-design and organization of stockrooms, maintaining stock levels needed for monthly productions commitments, inventory accuracy checks, and clean room gowning supply management.

The candidate should have as well as proficiency in interfacing with multiple functions including Product Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality, Mechanical Design Engineering, Factory Management, Equipment Engineering and Process Engineering

What You Will Do

• You will work closely with factory management/ staff and other support functions. Help develop better control points for weekly consumables and manufacturing work in process.
• Conducts inventory checks and material deliveries.
• Work with vendors to for timely monthly deliveries and procurement scheduling.
• Reestablish inventory system and Kanban cards to accurately manage consumable items.
• Leads in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of support employees restocking points of use.
• Works autonomously with limited oversight from manager. Applying advanced skills and techniques and solves complex problems.
• Coordinates material scheduling activities to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of facilities.

Qualifications You Must Have  

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience or an advanced degree with 3 years of related experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• Material Control for dynamic Manufacturing Factory.
• Identifies cost reduction and process improvement opportunities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
• Dynamic environment, meaning must be able to rotate between labs and support numerous teams.
• Attention to detail with good communication and follow up skills.
