Job Req Number: 125310
Time Type: Full Time
Move forward as Facility Supervisor at DSV in Venlo
Do you want to combine technology, leadership and structure in an environment where no two days are the same? As a Facility Supervisor, you ensure that our warehouses remain safe, reliable and future-proof, together with a technical team that you lead, connect and develop.
You get it done
Within our facility team, we have extensive technical expertise in-house. Our colleagues know the buildings, installations and equipment inside out and are responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and technical work daily. The next step is to bring more structure and consistency to these activities. As a Facility Supervisor, you set the direction. You ensure that maintenance is not only carried out when something breaks down, but is increasingly planned, monitored and documented. You create oversight of what needs to be done across our locations, establish priorities and ensure that your team is deployed in the right place at the right time: you’re on it.
How you do this? You provide directions for day-to-day facility maintenance while simultaneously building a professional and structured way of working. You achieve this by:
- leading the technical facility team in Venlo and Maastricht and establishing clear priorities, task allocations and working agreements. At the same time, you further structure preventive and corrective maintenance activities for our buildings, installations and assets;
- overseeing the ticket workflow and ensuring that reports, malfunctions and maintenance activities are assessed, assigned and completed in a consistent manner. You will also focus on further professionalising our way of working, including maintenance registration, drawing management, procedures and developing a Long-Term Maintenance Plan (LTMP);
- regularly visiting our sites to maintain visibility of the technical condition of the facilities, monitor the progress of activities and understand operational requirements. You actively collaborate with Operations, QHSE, Procurement, Security and suppliers, ensuring that agreements are executed and followed up properly;
- ensuring that inspections, audits and statutory obligations, such as NEN 3140, Scope 8 and 12 inspections and sprinkler inspections, are carried out on time and that any follow-up actions are completed;
- developing your team through knowledge sharing, training and development initiatives, while providing employees with opportunities to grow further within their field of expertise.
Your team stands out within DSV because of its combination of technical expertise and broad employability. You work with specialists who know their own site or area of expertise inside out, as well as colleagues who are deployed flexibly across multiple locations. You understand individual strengths, bring different roles together and build one strong team.
