What we do:
The Security Manager is an experienced, dynamic, and trusted leader who oversees all aspects of establishing and maintaining a safe, secure environment across all Supernal campuses. They are responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive physical security policy; providing a safe, healthy environment for employees and visitors; and steering emergency prevention, preparedness, and response. They will also develop and direct a team of professionals while setting an example for personal integrity and carrying out work in a manner that reflects standard methodologies.
What you can do:
- Develops and implements physical security policy and protocols across all Supernal campuses working with Facilities team, Department Leads, Compliance to ensure all areas have appropriate levels of security controls for the activity in the space
- Leads the Security Department to ensure a service-oriented approach to security in line with the values of the company. Oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive, ongoing training program for all security personnel
- Leads engagement with local law enforcement and first responders
- Coordinates security for all day-to-day operations, including events, exhibitions, and programming activities, ensuring the safety of the public and the protection of company property
- Provides all staff with information and updates regarding the interpretation and application of security policies and procedures
- Plans, schedules, and is responsible for regular emergency response drills and training sessions to educate employees, validate or improve systems and processes, and ensure companies readiness
- Conducts or supports security inspections and surveys/assessments
- Advises Head of Facilities Strategy & Management regarding security standard methodologies and recommends appropriate or corrective action. Consults regularly with Facility Managers and industry professionals regarding specific related security issues, as well as to keep abreast of new and upcoming industry trends related to security and safety topics.
- Supports the testing, inspection, maintenance, and continuous operation of existing security and life safety systems, technology, and devices. Plays a leading role in planning and facilitating the installation, integration, and commissioning of new security and life safety assets
- Controls and tracks the usage of Security Department equipment and devices. Assists the Facilities Department with management of life safety and security systems integral to facilities and locations. Reviews and updates applicable service contracts. Oversees the collection, archiving, and review of security video surveillance data
- Oversees the thorough investigation and reporting of all accidents, injuries, fires, property theft or damage, and other incidents at Supernal properties. Ensures that all records and reports are properly distributed and archived
- Establish protocols and procedures for access badges, access levels, export control, visitors, and contractors onsite, etc.
- Oversees the Security Department budget, striking a balance between advancing standard processes and controlling costs
- Ensure that Supernal is aligned with Hyundai’s security protocols while maintaining Supernal’s needs and requirements

What you can contribute:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of current or past law enforcement experience required
- Bachelor's degree in security management or a related major is preferred
- Minimum of eight (8) years of full-time supervisory and leadership experience in security, safety, and/or emergency preparedness roles (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
