For more than 50 years, First Choice Community Healthcare has provided access to high quality primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare to the underserved populations of the Mid-Rio Grande Valley of central New Mexico. Today, we operate seven (7) Community Health Centers and one (1) school-based clinic. We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Supervisor to join our team and assist in fulfilling our organizations mission, which is to improve the health, life skills and wellbeing of all members of the communities we serve. Our health centers maintain an open-door policy, providing treatment regardless of an individual’s income or insurance coverage. As a non-profit organization, First Choice is a vital community resource in Central New Mexico. A. Position Summary

Under general supervision of the Chief Operation Officer, oversees and/or performs maintenance operations for all FCCH facilities, including general building maintenance, custodial service, and related functions.


B. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. As designated, supervises personnel and makes recommendations for hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution.
  2. Purchases materials, supplies, and equipment; maintains applicable inventories.
  3. Monitors work performed by maintenance staff and contractors and verifies quantity and quality for payment.
  4. Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to maintenance.
  5. Monitors general expenditures.
  6. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  7. Schedules repair work and ensure timely work order completion.
  8. Maintains records of work performed.
  9. Ensures adherence to established FCCH policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards.
  10. Will need to be available be on call 24/7,
  11. Expansion of facilities has 7am to 7pm, plus Saturday’s at required locations.
  12. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

C. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. High School Diploma or GED;
  2. Graduation from an accredited trade school, or two (2) years of experience can be substituted for education, and;
  3. Three (3) to five (5) years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.


D. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  1. Must have valid New Mexico driver’s license and a heavy equipment operator license.
  2. CPR Certification must be obtained within first 6 months of hire and maintained.

E. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  1. Ability to perform plumbing, painting, landscaping, carpentry, heating and air conditioning work.
  2. Employee development and performance management skills.
  3. Ability to foster a cooperative environment.
  4. Ability to supervise and train assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  5. Records maintenance skills.
  6. Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
  7. Ability to monitor and/or maintain general quality control standards.
  8. Knowledge of general federal, state, and local building codes and ordinances pertinent to facilities construction, and maintenance.
  9. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  10. Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.
  11. Knowledge and familiarity with compliance program. Cooperate fully and comply with laws and regulations.
