Key Responsibilities: Required:
- Gathering and analyzing data, blueprints, and reports.
- Determining facility and equipment specifications.
- Analyzing project costs and preparing budgets.
- Designing and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout, and various systems.
- Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
- Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
- Responding to emergencies, reducing risk, minimizing losses and downtime during unexpected events.
- Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Managing projects cohesively and efficiently by working with manufacturing operations, safety, environmental, quality, accounting, sourcing, and/or any other internal and external project stakeholders.
- 3-5 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Facilities role. Foundry experience is a plus.
- Ability to read, interpret and create drawings, specifications, and other information required to support design and development of construction documentation from concept through full implementation of a project.
- General knowledge of, or ability to learn, national and local building codes, Environmental, OSHA and/or application of codes governed by other Domestic and International localities.
- Experience working with outside contractors to include competitive bid process, responding to RFI’s, issue addendums, process change orders and any related task required by the process.
- Due to the broad nature of Facility Engineering projects, having basic knowledge and/or experience in the following disciplines are beneficial: Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Environmental, and Mechanical (HVAC/Plumbing).
- Strong skills in the following software: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project or related project management software.
