Overview
FLSA: Non-Exempt. This is a Journeyman-level maintenance position in the Facilities Department. Employees are selected and supervised by Facilities Management. Employees in this class perform maintenance of large public buildings in skilled trades such as Electricity, Plumbing, HVAC, or related trades. Employee performs work under moderate to close supervision depending on experience. Employees in this class perform duties incidental to repairs, cleaning, heating, ventilating, grounds, and related tasks, following safety practices and standards of the Facilities Department and the County. Work may be assigned at any La Crosse County owned building or property.

Essential Job Functions
Repairs plaster, applies paint and stain, performs minor remodeling tasks and small building projects, repairs and replaces vinyl wall covering and installs both vinyl and ceramic tile.
Assists in the maintenance and adjustment of remote controlled, motorized, and operator controlled doors.
Assists in the operation of heating and air conditioning equipment which may include operation and programming of computerized building management system, using building management systems and misc. computer software.
