Job Description

As a Security Professional – Armed Government Patrol Officer in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, respond to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or breaches.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Interact with visitors, employees, and/or contractors in a courteous manner while upholding security-related protocols.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related incidents or emergencies, following established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
