Internal Communications and Employer Brand Intern

Our partner is looking for an Internal Communications and Employer Brand Intern in Carlsbad, CA.

We're looking for an Internal Communications and Employer Brad Intern to support the team as we develop and implement internal communication, employer brand and employee engagement strategies. This role will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support key initiatives.

The growing Internal Communications and Employer Brand team is committed to implementing best-in-class structure, processes and content to keep our employees and candidates aligned and engaged.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering timely and relevant information.
• Write feature stories for our new company intranet, Compass.
• Interview employees and business stakeholders.
• Create content for the social media channels and the careers site to expand brand awareness and attract candidates.
• Shadow communications team as you learn the elements and questions to ask when developing strategic communications plans.
• Support the execution of internal communications and employer brand campaigns that align with the business and culture priorities.
• Transform complex concepts into terms everyone can understand.
• Build positive relationships across the organization.
• Support the rollout and adoption of new collaboration and communication tools.
• Look for ways to continuously improve internal communications methods and channels to maximize employee engagement.
• Help support and grow an innovative and creative working environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Communications, English, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Psychology or related field
• Ability to commit to a 10-12 week summer internship
• Strategic and creative problem solver who generates ideas and effectively crosses the finish line
• Ability to quickly grasp and synthesize complex issues
• Up to 10% of Travel
• Passionate, positive, self-starter who enjoys working in a cross-functional team environment
• Knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail
• Previous social media experience

Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $54.00 hourly
