<h1><b>About the Role:</b></h1><p></p><p><b>Grade Level (for internal use):</b></p>11<p><b><u>The Team:</u></b></p><p><br/>The Real Estate and  Building <span>Materials/Construction</span> team is comprised of analysts located across various offices including London, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Madrid, Dublin and Stockholm. We are a dynamic group responsible for over 120 rated entities across Europe and Africa. We are focused on delivering high-quality analysis and excellent client service within transaction-oriented sectors.</p><p></p><p><b><u>The Impact:</u></b></p><p><br/>In this role, you will provide insightful credit risk analysis that influences rating decisions. Your interactions with Finance and Treasury teams of rated entities will enhance our understanding of market dynamics, while your engagement with investors and market participants will support our commitment to transparency and communication in the debt markets. You will enhance your analytical skills, develop strong relationships within the industry, and engage in cross-sector collaboration, fostering lifelong learning and professional growth.</p><p></p><p><u><b>Responsibilities:</b></u></p><ul><li>Formulate and clearly articulate credit rating recommendations based on comprehensive analysis of financial statements and debt documentation.</li><li>Develop insightful and forward-looking company and sector-level credit rating research.</li></ul><ul><li>Interact with Finance and Treasury teams of global and regional rated entities to gather critical information.</li><li>Communicate with investors and market participants through high-quality sector and company reports, presentations, and direct engagement.</li></ul><ul><li>Thoroughly document supporting analyses to ensure clarity and transparency in credit rating decisions.</li><li>Present and defend conclusions to the credit rating committee in a coherent and logical manner.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage relationships with rated issuers and investors, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.</li><li>Collaborate with other analysts within the Ratings division to enhance cross-sector knowledge and skills.</li><li>Support the team in its day to day activities, notably data gathering activities.</li><li>Share specific analytical expertise, any useful know how, and ideas to improve group</li><li>operations.</li><li>All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.</li><li>We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&amp;P Global Ratings office.  This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.</li></ul><p></p><p><u><b>What We’re Looking For:</b></u></p><ul><li>Have strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts. <span>An S&amp;P Global employee at this level would typically have</span> 3-5 years of experience and a master’s degree in relevant fields, such as Finance, Economics or Business Administration.</li><li>Ability to, and interest, to work on financial modelling to analyze company’s capital structure, liquidity and forecasts.</li><li>Experience in analyzing debt/instrument documentation and transaction structures.</li><li>Preferably a previous experience in a global organization (bank, accounting firm, asset manager, large corporate) and ability to work in an international, and regulated, business environment.</li><li>Fluency in German (verbal and written) and English (verbal and written)</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.</li><li>Demonstrated initiative and ownership of tasks.</li><li>Commitment to high-quality work and continuous improvement.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing situations.</li><li><span>The ability to work both independently and within a team environment. </span></li><li>Be willing to travel, sometimes at short notice.</li></ul><p></p><p>#LI- EY1</p><p></p><p><b>About S&amp;P Global Ratings</b><br/>At S&amp;P Global Ratings, our analyst-driven credit ratings, research, and sustainable finance opinions provide critical insights that are essential to translating complexity into clarity so market participants can uncover opportunities and make decisions with conviction.
