Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and provide outstanding customer service while addressing any security-related concerns. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail and mall environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote order on the premises.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns as outlined in client protocols.
• Work closely with store staff and management to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
• Remain visible and approachable to the public, offering help as needed and serving as a point of contact for security-related matters at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
