Fabrication Process Analyst

Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art. 

General Description:We are seeking a candidate to join an interdisciplinary team in developing high performance semiconductor and/or superconducting devices. The candidate will contribute to technology development efforts through interactions with vendors and internal HRL teams. They will use their knowledge of wafer fabrication tools, perform analyses of vendor wafer processing and metrology data and electrical test results, and arrange for additional physical metrology to help develop design of experiments and/or process splits to troubleshoot and solve problems.
Essential Duties:•Unit process development and wafer process integration in moderate volume wafer fabWeekly•Participate in progress reviews with the technical teams•Synthesize and analyze data to prepare weekly progress reports for internal review•Anticipate and proactively develop solutions to address emerging problemsMonthly/Quarterly•Prepare and deliver monthly deep dive reviewing accumulated data and knowledge •Create graphical depictions of the short loop and full loop process flows•Analyze long term trends affecting quality of the vendor process•Track process issues and risks and help design experiments to solve problems•Help prepare quarterly and other program required reports.•Prepare and present accumulated data and knowledge at quarterly
Required Skills:•Experience developing and executing novel wafer fabrication process flows.•Experience developing wafer fabrication unit processes in Photolithography, Thin Film Deposition, Thin Film Etching and Wafer Wet Processing. Knowledge of DOE methodology a plus.•Experience with analyzing wafer processes using physical metrology techniques such as FIBSEM, TEM, EELS, EDX•Experience with data analysis and plotting using Excel/JMP or similar software.•Experience working  with superconducting materials•Experience with Cadence or other microfabrication layout software.
Compensation:The base salary range for this full-time position is $141,500 - $176,800 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
