SUMMARY
Oversees parts operations for multiple branch locations to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability for the company.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Regional Parts Manager is responsible for the parts operations of all AMH locations. He/she must be a self-motivated employee with a desire to maximize sales while keeping expenses to a controlled level. The parts staff from those locations report directly to the RPM. His/her main responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring the P&L of the department, inventory control and obsolescence management, customer satisfaction and purchasing practices. He/she must be able to train and motivate those direct reports to promote growth in sales as well as the staff’s abilities. He/she is also responsible for assuring that the parts departments are maintaining 5S conditions in their respective warehouse locations as assigned to them. He/she will also work closely with the service teams to promote service van inventory control, obsolescence management and 5S compliance.
SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Profit & loss of parts operations
- Overall inventory control and obsolescence management
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent ability to motivate and train all parts personnel
- Oversee/direct branch parts associates
- Oversee purchasing/vendor relationships for maximum department profitability
- Responsible for customer/personnel issues unable to be handled by branch parts associates
- Work closely with CSS/Sales staff for customer acquisition/satisfaction opportunities
- Monitor fill rates for both internal and external sales and adjust stocking parameters as needed to maximize fill rates
- Required visits to each location for assurance the above criteria are being met and maintained
- Work jointly with Corporate Parts Manager to establish revenue/GP goals
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
5+ Years in parts management
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma
WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. Employee must have normal manual dexterity and be able to effectively manipulate keyboard and phone. Light lifting may be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
