Our Supply Chain team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet customer demand. We coordinate all aspects of supply through supply planning, sourcing, inventory management, packaging and delivery. We partner across the Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing organizations to build a robust demand and supply plan and ensure we get products to the right customer, at the place, at the right time.

About the Role

As a key executive leader in our Animal Health business, the Executive Director of Supply Chain Management (SCM) – Regional Operations, drives the end-to-end supply strategy and execution across 100+ countries and 800+ products. This role ensures short- and mid-term supply reliability (<24-month horizon), while also influencing long-term business resilience and competitiveness. Leading a global team of 20+ direct reports, this role partners with Regional Species Leads, Country Managers, Site directors, and senior stakeholders across Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance, and R&D. The incumbent will play a critical role in shaping supply outcomes that directly impact cost, quality, customer service, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead regional supply chain operations to ensure alignment with the enterprise strategy and Animal Health portfolio goals.  Drive the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and implement continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen planning, forecasting, and execution.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing global team by setting clear expectations, driving accountability, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement; actively manage performance and invest in talent development to build future supply chain leadership capability.
  • Translate market strategies and customer needs into agile supply solutions, ensuring resilience against geopolitical, regulatory, and trade-related disruptions.
  • Partner with Value Chain Management to operationalize new product launches and integrate them seamlessly into the global supply network.
  • Champion digital transformation, advanced planning systems, and sustainability initiatives, embedding them into regional and above-site strategies.
  • Influence cross-divisionally and cross-functionally to align global and regional priorities and deliver on the critical elements of the Manufacturing Supply Strategy.
  • Oversee all aspects of 0–24 month supply planning, including sales and operations execution (S&OE) and sales and operations planning (S&OP).
  • Lead the above-site SCM Tier Process, Global Supply Review Process and supporting regional processes, ensuring consistency and operational rigor across geographies.
  • Establish and maintain a structured approach for supply issue management and executive-level communication.
  • Support the Assumptions-Based Review (ABR), and annual budgeting processes.
  • Ensure supply chain compliance with regulatory, quality, and risk management standards in all regions.
  • Based on emerging business conditions, lead strategic responses to business changing events impacting the mid-term horizon, such as trade pact changes, national withdrawals from regional unions and major policy changes that have potential for sustained impacts to supply.

Required Education:

  • B.A./B.S. in Engineering, Supply Chain or related Science or higher with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience that includes leadership positions in Supply Chain or Animal Health Global Manufacturing.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrated success integrating short- and long-term industrial plans and optimizing operational strategies across a global network.
  • Significant experience in both small and large molecule supply chains and varied business models.
  • Proficiency with Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) systems (e.g., Kinaxis, OMP).
  • Proven ability to lead diverse, global teams across multiple geographies and cultures.
  • Strong track record of executive-level influence with Commercial, R&D, Finance, and Manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused and enterprise-wide perspective.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% globally.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • APICS certification
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Familiarity with digital supply chain tools, analytics, AI-driven planning, and sustainability frameworks.
