Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities

Our ESG Program Design and Implementation team specializes in providing enterprise-level support to clients, including strategy development, materiality assessments, program design and implementation management and regulatory advisory. Over the past two years, the team has serviced a significant increase in demand for support with regulated mandatory disclosures (including CSRD, ISSB, and others), regulatory advisory, and compliance readiness services, working closely with our reporting and disclosure team.

We are seeking a Senior Consultant for the Program Design and Implementation team to support our work with our clients. The role will focus on project management and support for Double Materiality Assessments and CSRD Readiness projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Your tasks within the team will be varied and, depending on your level of experience, may include:

• Support project and client managers in conducting fact-based research, analysis, and scoring on topics potentially material for clients, utilizing a wide range of sources, including desk research, interviews, and other methodologies. 
• Work with clients to analyze and improve their current practices and processes for disclosing sustainability information, ensuring alignment with mandatory reporting requirements, establishing the disclosure scope, and finding gaps against required data points. 
• Help define the steps clients must take to be ready to disclose against mandatory reporting requirements, whether organizational or topic-specific, and create a comprehensive implementation plans for clients to close their gaps. 
• Own outcomes and deliver on time and within budget. 
• Play project manager role on projects to ensure that projects perform against targets and deadlines 
• Support senior colleagues in the development of work plans, schedules and budgets for the delivery of client projects and business development proposals 
• Draft reports and presentations that convey crucial messages to a variety of stakeholders and inform strategic decision-making 
• Work on several projects at the same time, often with different clients on multiple workstreams 
• Collaborate with global Anthesis sustainability experts and technical consultants to deliver great project outcomes 
• Stay informed of the ever-changing regulatory landscape, and providing technical consulting advice on such changes for clients and internal teams 

Key Requirements & Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Knowledge of mandatory reporting frameworks, including CSRD. 
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (sustainability, sustainable business, environmental management or environmental science, policy etc.) and five+ years’ experience supporting ESG program design and implementation work, either in a consultancy or in an in-house role 
• A passion for sustainability and an interest in being at the forefront of sustainability 
• Experience working with data sets and demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and communicate findings 
• Effective time management and organisational skills (organised, methodical, and analytical) 
• Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to the dynamic, fast moving ESG and sustainability reporting space 
• Ability to think and work independently, while also being an enthusiastic and proactive team player 
• Well-presented with a professional manner to act as a brand ambassador 
• Proactivity, initiative, and an interest in a working on a range of different project types and client sectors
