Summary of Job Duties:

A Pharmacist I works under minimal supervision to assess, prepare, dispense, and assist in coordinating all day-to-day dispensing functions of the pharmacy in a timely and accurate manner. The pharmacist will utilize their knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment when reviewing orders to ensure safe and effective medication therapy. They will evaluate the appropriateness of dose, route, and formulation, as well as allergies and medication interactions, and discuss monitoring. The pharmacist will have frequent communication with other healthcare professionals as a drug information resource and provide educational information to ensure great patient care. They will report adverse drug events and medication safety events. They will document interventions in the medical record. The pharmacist will work as a team member to efficiently and accurately perform day-to-day work, along with any additional tasks or projects to help achieve departmental goals.
