Job Description

• Participate in discussions with business/IT stakeholders on critical reporting needs and provide architecture options and recommendations 
• Design and implement complex reporting required by the business 
• Design and build complex SQL queries and stored procedures in a data warehouse to support ETL, data integration, data staging, data modeling, reporting, and self-service ad hoc analysis 
• Design and implement Power BI Reports and Dashboards 
• Create complex calculations using DAX/MDX language 
• Functional domain knowledge of Sales, Marketing, and Finance 
• Experience in creating prototypes to demo design and create requirements 
• Enhance the BI environment through continuous improvement following standards and best practices. 
• Works with other teams to maintain an optimal BI environment. 
• Assists users with the use of BI applications to drive business value 
• Document process/workflow and ability to evaluate business processes and identify opportunities for improvement 
• Monitors and maintains system performance and provides statistical reporting 
• Participate in requirement gathering, resolving ambiguity and conflicts, and ensuring accuracy. 
• Assist with BI test executions and implement performance tuning as required 
• Performs systems/database modification impact analysis 
• Communicate effectively in verbal and written English. 
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and help resolve issues 
• Communicate status/risks to the manager regarding delivering solutions on time 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical development discipline, computer science, or other relevant discipline is required. 
• 10+ years of BI tools and implementation experience 
• 8+ years of solid knowledge of DAX/MDX and thorough knowledge of Power BI functions 
• 8-10+ years of knowledge and experience with ETL and Pipeline tools: ADF, Xplenty, Fivetran 
• 8+ years of experience working with relational or OLAP cloud databases: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redshift, Snowflake 
• 8+ years of knowledge and experience with BI reporting and visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau 
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud-based technologies for Data Warehousing and BI initiatives 
• Knowledge of row-level security implementation and overall Power BI portal security for workspace, apps, and groups 
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities 
• Well-organized and able to prioritize and coordinate simultaneous tasks and projects while addressing customer needs 
• Strong interpersonal and oral, and written communication skills 
• Multiple BI Project lifecycle implementations preferred – Planning, Blueprint, Implementation, Go-Live, and Support 
• Knowledge of Postgres, Heroku Connect, Snowflake, Salesforce, and Netsuite, highly preferred 
• Python and API experience is a plus 

Additional Information

DOE, salary $110K - $140K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
