General Summary
This job independently leads labor standards updates, slotting optimization, and moderate‑complexity CI projects. Applies Lean / Six Sigma tools to diagnose performance issues and implement improvements with measurable results. Partners directly with Operations and IT and provide guidance to entry‑level engineers
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead DMAIC projects end-to-end: charter, baseline, root-cause verification, solution piloting, control plans with sustain audits.
- Develop/maintain engineered standards and incentive plans aligned to safe methods and ergonomic best practices.
- Execute detailed slotting studies (macro/micro) incorporating velocity, adjacency, cube utilization, and ergonomics.
- Design minor layout changes; conduct simulation or capacity modeling for peak scenarios.
- Assist in AMR/GTP pilot scoping: process selection, safety zoning, KPI definition, and ROI/payback modeling.
- Create dashboards for leaders; standardize KPI definitions (on-time shipments, pick accuracy, dock-to-stock, capacity).
- Leads small-scale CI projects and facilitates kaizen events; coach supervisors and associates; document standard work and visual management.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- BS in Industrial Engineering or related field
- 2 years in 3PL/warehouse environments.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt
- Advanced time study and PMTS proficiency; statistical tools for capability and variation analysis.
- Strong skills in Excel/Power BI; AutoCAD/Visio for layouts; WMS/LMS data mining; basic SQL/Python.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt
- Experience with slotting tools and WES/WCS interfacing; familiarity with AMR safety standards
- Experience building ROI models and vendor evaluation scorecards.
Skills & Abilities:
- Project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
- Business case development and benefits tracking; risk assessment.
- Mentoring junior engineers and facilitating workshops.
