About the role

Summary

The Division of Neurology and Developmental Neuroscience in the Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) is recruiting a Child Neurologist for its Neurocritical Care Program.

 

The current Neurocritical Care Program is composed of nine child neurologists that provide neurocritical care consultations to the various ICU beds ICU at TCH including a Neonatal ICU, a Cardiovascular ICU, and a dedicated 14 bed Neuro-ICU. The Neuro-ICU is a collaborative venture among Critical Care Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery and is specifically designed for continuous EEG monitoring, with an embedded epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU). A fellowship in Neurocritical Care is a prerequisite for this position and additional training in a related specialty, such as vascular disease or epilepsy, is also desirable. Participation in the post-ICU Neurologic follow-up program, the Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Neurology and Developmental (MIND) Clinic is also required. MIND Rank and salary are commensurate with experience.
