Supervisor Race and Sportsbook

POSITION SUMMARY:
It is the primary responsibility of the Supervisor Race and Sportsbook to oversee the daily operation of the Race and Sportsbook during their shift and/or in the absence of the Manager. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•   Assist, train, and lead Race and Sports Mutuel Clerks.
•   Approve complimentary items for guests and over-the-limit wagers for the property.
•   Close out writers at the end of the shift and ensure all money has been transferred to the main cage.
•   Move and monitor betting lines.
•   Explain betting lines and odds to customers.
•   Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
•   Issue disciplinary action when requested by the Sports Book Manager/Director.
•   Perform other job-related duties as requested.

SUPERVISION:
•   Mutuel Clerk.
•   Lead Mutuel Clerk.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
•   High school diploma or equivalent.
•   Two (2) years of experience in a similar resort setting.
•    Six (6) months of prior Race and Sportsbook experience.

 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
•   Gaming Registration.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
•   Working knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance with Title 31, Regulation 22, and IRS Forms.
•   Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.
•   Able to lead and mentor a team.
•   Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
