Section Leader Maintenance

Leads a Maintenance Area to deliver daily activities and achieve agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in an advanced manufacturing environment using Lean Manufacturing principles. Plans, steers and ensures resources for efficient running of area of responsibility. Actively drives continuous improvement for assigned area and relevant cross functional, process partners. Translates plant targets into operational action and actively supports change and transformation. Coaches and develops Maintenance Associates to ensure sustainable performance. Inspires team and process partners towards shared tasks and BMW Group values. Directs and supervises ESAs to achieve maintenance through equipment failure prevention, troubleshooting, and correction.

 

Directs equipment installation, system commissioning, and training in collaboration with Work Organization members. Develops, decides and implements solutions and corrective measures for

maintenance, quality and Associate-behavior based on Plan-Do-Check Act (PDCA) methods. Identifies and supports innovative solutions in collaboration with Work Organization members, in alignment with technology planning. Actively promotes results-oriented thinking to achieve Maintenance Key

Performance indicators (KPIs).

 

Develops and executes enabler projects in order to sustainably achieve KPI targets. Regularly reviews measures and decisions for sustainability and Quality Assurance. Implements and enforces all applicable BMW policies, standards, processes, and instructions. Represents BMW Group in a professional

manner by role modeling Leadership behavior. Plans, steers, and improves resources and area technical equipment in an efficient manner regarding time, quality and cost. Directs and demonstrates compliance

Environmental & Quality systems, as well as Information Protection, Data Security and Product Conformity requirements. Addresses promptly and implements corrective measures in case of incident. Maintains documentation and reports for assigned systems and audits. Communicates regularly with Associates personally and in teams.

 

Provides transparency on targets, area performance and planned changes using appropriate forms of communication. Actively listens to Associate and team feedback and provides follow-up. Drives and supports strategic change and sustainable transformation processes and continuous improvement based on BMW Group objectives and own ideas. Supports Associates to understand change and manage

uncertainty. Delivers timely performance feedback including corrective actions for improvement and recognition for performance. Conducts performance reviews with assigned Associates. Achieves training and compliance requirements within designated deadlines for self. Proactively develops own technical, professional skills, and process knowledge to meet current and future requirements. Performs time administration duties to ensure proper time and pay calculations. Leads and Develops Associates in Problem Solving and Improvements through Coaching.
