Position Overview:

The Senior Financial analyst will assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reporting, budget, and forecast, and provide in depth financial and operational analysis to advise management on strategic business decisions to drive improvements and profitability. Essential Functions:

  • Perform commercial finance activities including pricing activities, periodic financial analysis and reporting for customer profitability and margin trends 
  • Prepare the Daily Sales flash report along with various month-end reporting of sales by brand and region 
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecast; Drive forecast ownership with functional leaders and provide reporting and analysis for spending variances. 
  • Assist in providing consultation, interpretation, and education of financial and operational matters to various department leaders used to drive business decisions
  • Work with management team to drive improvement through revenue/cost/expense variance analysis including purchase price variance, material usage variance, labor inefficiencies, and optimal overhead scaling
  • Provide financial analysis on operational results, working capital improvements, cost reductions, Lean Six Sigma initiatives
  • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations as required 
  • Perform monthly and quarterly reserve calculations and analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting requirements 
  • Maintain process and internal control documentation (SOX). Perform internal control processes as necessary for proper safeguarding of assets. 
  • Oversee the capital investment process to establish financial justification for projects and ensure alignment with strategic direction of the business
  • Assist with internal and external audits 
  • Ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in either finance or accounting capacity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to be clear and concise to convey messages appropriate to finance and non-finance people alike  
  • Good working knowledge of accounting concepts, techniques, principles and US GAAP 
  • Oracle EPM and Power BI system experience is a plus 
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving with a strong analytical background 
  • Self-starter who is highly organized, comfortable in an environment with tight deadlines and multiple tasks with attention to detail  
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, changing environment 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within manufacturing or a distribution business with public accounting experience a plus 
  • CPA preferred 
  • At least 1-2 years in a dedicated Financial Analyst role

Working Conditions:

  • Domestic travel 2-3 times per year
  • Hybrid work with 3 days a week in office (flexible on days)

The anticipated pay range for this position is $72,000 - $115,300 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
