Responsibilities
The Principal Product Manager, Data Products defines the long-term vision and drives the development of data and analytics solutions that help insurance and financial services providers gain deeper business intelligence. Works cross-functionally to define, build, and launch data products that provide insights, improve decision-making, and enhance competitive differentiation while driving revenue growth and customer value. This role focuses on leveraging modern data platforms, including Snowflake and Databricks, to power scalable, high-performance data solutions, while mentoring junior product managers to foster excellence in product management.
Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and drive the long-term strategic vision for a portfolio of data products, ensuring they align with business objectives and customer needs. Identify market opportunities and define data-driven solutions that enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and competitive positioning. Create and maintain a roadmap for data products, prioritizing features based on customer impact, business value, and revenue potential.
- Customer & Market Insights: Research to understand customer challenges related to data and analytics. Partner with sales, customer success, and marketing to gather feedback and improve data product adoption. Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities for innovation.
- Product Development & Execution: Lead the end-to-end product development process for analytics, reporting, and data-driven insights solutions. Work within Snowflake to build scalable data solutions that support predictive analytics, AI-driven insights, and business intelligence. Collaborate with engineering, data science, and UX teams to define product requirements and ensure seamless execution. Define user personas and use cases for data products, ensuring they address key industry pain points. Ensure data products meet regulatory and compliance requirements, particularly for insurance and financial services.
