This is what #LifeAtBNY is all about.</p> <p>We’re seeking a future team member for the role of <strong>Senior Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager</strong> to join our <strong>Private Equity &amp; Credit Fund Accounting team in Alternative Operations.</strong> This role is located in Wrocław, Poland – HYBRID. </p> <p><strong>Team/ Department Overview: Private Equity &amp; Credit Fund Accounting</strong></p> <p>Alternative Operations Fund Accounting joins key areas into a single global team to better support the company's businesses and serve clients across the world. The team is responsible for providing Fund Accounting services in segments like: Hedge, Private Markets or Real Estate. By offering opportunities to collaborate with a variety of different teams across disciplines, you will discover new skills and hone your existing competencies. </p> <p><strong>Your Role:</strong></p> <p>Are you a professional with extensive accounting / audit exposure? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global financial services group based in the Wroclaw providing premier client service and contributing to the production of client portfolio valuations, statements, cash management, property reviews and Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations.</p> <p>As Senior Vice President, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing work of multiple accounting teams. On the top of managing day to day operations teams you will be involved in onboarding &amp; transitioning new processes to our Wroclaw location. Role will expand further to onboard additional teams upon completion of assigned project.</p> <p><strong>In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Directs multiple Fund Accounting teams that are responsible for conducting accounting services on behalf of a broad array of assigned clients including but not limited to determining net asset values, performing property reviews, and overseeing cash management.</li> <li>Responsible for the financial and human resources for the unit and ensures assigned teams are operating effectively to meet unit goals and objectives.</li> <li>Directs processes and allocation of resources in determining the net asset value (NAV) for assigned funds in multiple sectors for each measurement cycle.</li> <li>Manages relationships with a broad set of clients and resolves any unique escalated issues related to fund calculations and accounting.</li> <li>Directs and sets priorities for processes that check for the completeness and accuracy of disclosure in financial statements.</li> <li>Provides guidance to teams managed to ensure that accounting records are maintained in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.</li> <li>Resolves complex escalated issues from team members.</li> <li>Develops strategy for and provides guidance to teams on the implementation of new policies to follow regulations. Implements and assists in setting guidelines, policies, and priorities for the drafting of financial reports for a broad set of clients to review fund performance.</li> <li>Communicates reports and complex accounting intricacies to clients.</li> <li>Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.</li> <li>Manages multiple Fund/Client Accounting teams.</li> <li>Work is primarily accomplished through subordinate managers.</li> <li>Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams’ objectives.</li> </ul> <p><strong>To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ideally 3-5 years + experience managing fund administration teams.</li> <li>Proven management ability in a global organisation, managing multiple teams across multiple clients.</li> <li>Excellent accounting knowledge.</li> <li>Strong communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to lead change and manage complex operational process enhancements.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS would be an asset.</li> </ul> <p><strong>At BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
