Senior Technical SEO Manager (m|f|x)

About your new role

• As Senior Technical SEO Manager, you develop and implement advanced technical SEO strategies to improve website indexation, crawling, and overall performance.
• You conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits to identify and rectify issues affecting search engine rankings and user experience.
• You optimize robots.txt files, XML sitemaps, and canonicalization strategies to ensure efficient crawling and indexation of website content.
• You monitor and evaluate SEO performance to identify growth potential. Based on the data available to you, you develop concepts and drive automation and innovation of our SEO processes.
• You work closely with other SEO Managers and SEO Data Analysts. You also have direct contact with several product/engineering teams that rely on your expertise and recommendations.

Skills & Requirements

• SEO is your passion and you have at least 5 years of professional experience, including extensive experience in technical SEO analysis and reporting.
• You understand which ranking factors determine SEO performance for large websites. Experience in using SEO tools (Screaming Frog, Sistrix, Searchmetrics, ahrefs, Search Console, or similar) rounds out your profile.
• You understand complex crawling, rendering, and ranking factors (e.g. Javascript indexation and crawling, server logs). Understanding of HTML and CSS is a must.
• You are adept at using Excel and have a good eye for data. Knowledge of SQL is an advantage. Ideally, you already have experience combining data from different sources. If not, this is your first learning objective; our analysts will help you with this.
• You can find tech issues, create tickets for engineers, and work with product teams to get them implemented.
• You are fluent in English. Speaking German is a plus - not a must.
